Have to say that the purchase price of (after 50% reduction) £270 is ok, if you want a good spec and comfortable bike then take advantage of the 3 for 2 offers on accessories, saddle, peddles, handlebar tape, tyres, adjustable stem, have spent £425 and feel that I have a cycle that would easily sell for £700, staff at Halfords Peterborough were excellent 😉

Bought mine 4 months ago, made a few changes to it, very good bike for the price

  4. This is a great bike for the money £270 (50% off) at the time from Halfords.
It’s light and easy to ride and looks the part.
Changed the tyres to Continentals by choice, and if I am honest I would like a bigger chain set as the smaller ring never gets used as I do not do a lot of hills, and would like a bit more pace.
And the clip pedals are crap.

Bought one of these 2 months ago and am not disappointed at all. Good spec for a sub £300 machine. A few upgrades and this is a bike that will excel for the daily work out.

There are no issues, as of yet, with poor quality build or equipment. Treat the bike properly and it’ll serve you well I guess until you want to upgrade to the next level.

  6. I purchased one of these in march 2014 as I’d entered a 100 mile charity bike ride which took place in the June of 2014.. it’s now Jan 2016 and the little bike has done 3000 miles with no issues.. great entry level bike and now used for winter training. I did add better wheels with good tyres which made all the difference with regards power transfer to the road. It’s served me well but thought it time for a new high end bike due to the zelos reaching its ceiling in the average speed stakes. I.e. it’s just no longer quick enough. Highly recommend this to any one who wants to take up riding on the road.. look after it and although entry level components.. and a budget bike it will look after you.. still live it and will continue to use out of season. Looks OK too. Good work Halford and good work carrera.
